Let the Mini-Vacation Begin...Tarah's Wedding

This past Friday we left Cape bright and early to head to Bolivar, MO for my cousin Tarah's wedding.  We ate lunch with everyone in Springfield, and then headed the extra 30 minutes to Bolivar to check in to our hotel.  After naps we got ready to head to the rehearsal and dinner.  It was so fun having ALL our extended family together.

Brynn was a little gun-shy at the beginning...HA!

Nixon was the ring-bearer so we were watching him practice and all just hanging out.
Ty is looking a little scary in the background...=)
We headed to this really cute little tea room for the dinner.  Thanks to Pinterest we kept the kids busy with some pipe cleaners and beads!  =)

Then things got interesting. Right after we finished eating, James (the groom) announced that there were tornado warnings in the area.  The sky was looking crazy and everyone left VERY quickly.  Since we were staying at a hotel, the WHOLE family opted to head to my aunt's house to wait out the storm and hopefully let everything pass.  So we all ended up hanging out there for quite awhile, and thankfully there were just bad thunderstorms.

All the girls were huddled in a downstairs closet...the boys were upstairs watching the crazy weather.

These two were having LOTS of fun together!
Once the storm passed we all headed upstairs and just kept hanging out.  Ty was cracking everyone up by telling the story of how he had just chopped half his thumb off (no joke!) two weeks earlier.  (He was building some furniture and accidentally ran it under his chop saw.)  Obviously that isn't funny, but him talking about how his wife Morgan reacted while driving him to the ER, and how the nurse asked him if he brought the "other piece" was just hilarious!  He had pictures on his phone of his thumb, and Ryan seriously told me he didn't think my stomach could handle it.  My sister looked at the pics and said that it was so ridiculously gross that I could just pretend it was fake.  I looked and it was the most disgusting thing ever.  It looked like a Halloween prank finger thing.  I'll spare you the pictures, but I have never seen anything like that ever...

Ty telling the story...

Is that not CRAZY!  I'll spare you the other pictures...

Some of the girls!
Kelly and Jared were driving to Bolivar and the storm was so bad they had to stop in St. Louis
and stay in a hotel and come the rest of the way Saturday!

Saturday morning we got up and hung out at the hotel, before heading to the church to take a big family picture.  Tarah and James got married at 2 pm, and then we headed to the ice cream reception!  YUM!

The reception had this huge ice cream bar that was so yummy!  And there was a cool story behind the ice cream.  Seven years ago my cousin Tarah was at a youth function and one her mentors explained how she had given up a favorite food and every time she wanted that food she would pray for her future husband.  So Tarah decided to give up ICE CREAM and anytime she wanted ice cream she would pray for the man God would have for her to marry.  SEVEN YEARS LATER she finally ate ice cream at the reception!  Isn't that such a cool idea!

Lindsey and I attempted a picture by ourselves...HA!

Then we decided we needed some help taking the picture...HA!

CONGRATULATIONS TARAH AND JAMES!

Back Row - My grandma, me, Erika, Ty's wife Morgan, Lindsey, my mom's sister Tina,
my mom.  Front Row - Tori (Tarah's younger sister), Tarah, and their mom, my aunt Gina.
Kelly had just left to take Paxton to take a nap, and Ryan had taken Brynn home to take a nap too.

?????
The reception was over around 5, so we all helped clean up and then headed to my Aunt and Uncle's house to eat BBQ and hang out.  The weather was INCREDIBLE...we had so much fun being outside and playing wiffle ball!

The men who married the Hency girls...
Uncle Bruce, Uncle Tim (father of the bride), and my Dad
After lots of playing outside it was time for baths and bedtime.

Brynn and Ebby Lee were having lots of fun in the bath.  Brynn kept wanting
to pour cups of water all over Ebby Lee and Ebby Lee was such a good sport about it!
Brynn kept telling her "close you eyes, Ebby Wee!"
It was a WONDERFUL couple of days with the whole family!!!
