Wedding Part 1 - Getting Ready

Wow...I have a LOT of pictures from the wedding, and since I get my blog made into a blog book I don't really want to leave many of them out.  So just bear with me.  =)

Probably the only "issue" of the wedding day was that our super reliable hair dresser had a family issue
the morning of the wedding and was an hour and a half late.  That didn't stress Lindsey out at all...NOT!
She was actually a little more calm about it than I thought she would be.
So...my mom ended up rolling her  hair.

Lindsey's hair turned out SO BEAUTIFUL!

One of our wedding gifts from Lindsey were these cute robes.  Curt's mom monogrammed our
first initial on them.  They were the color of our bridesmaid dresses.  We wore them all day Saturday...
SO COMFY!

Girls at the hair salon.

Then around 12:30 we headed to the church.
It was so pretty!

Last instructions from Nancy and Mrs. Jewel.

Ebby Lee was the flower girl...all the girls ate together before heading upstairs to finish getting ready.

Girl's dressing room upstairs.

Then my dad came in to see Lindsey.
Lindsey kept saying "I don't want to cry Dad!!"

I know I'm kind of partial but I think I have just about the cutest Dad ever!

Since Erika's little girl was the flower girl, she got to be up there with us too, which was so much fun!

There's just something about all of the girls getting ready together, slightly nervous, and ready to watch the wedding...God is so good!

Rehearsal Dinner

Friday night it was rehearsal dinner time!!  We met at the church to practice, and then went to downtown Cape to Buckner's for dinner.  We ate in the upstairs room at Buckner's and you could see out over the river...so neat!

People start arriving...

Looking at the program...
I have to give a shout out to wedding planner extraordinaire Nancy Moreton (peach shirt)!  Not only is she a
family friend, she coordinates/plans weddings and she was AWESOME!

Erika, Brynn, and Pawpaw!
I'll have to start telling Brynn to contain her excitement.  HA!

This picture just makes me smile!
The lady on the left must make some incredible videos, because she followed everyone around
for a solid two days.  We were all joking that that's what it must feel like to be on a reality show.
The lady on the left is Mrs. Jewel.  She is the chairperson for our church's wedding committee.
Let me tell you...she is ON IT!

Ebby Lee and Brynn playing during the rehearsal.
Brynn can find the pens and paper in every church pew!  She LOVES to "draw."

FOOD TIME!

Lindsey looked so beautiful!

SISTERS!

This is Curt's sister Amanda's little girl Mollie...she is about 5 months older than Brynn.
She is ADORABLE!

Curt's family did a wonderful job hosting the rehearsal dinner.  Curt's mom even made special gift bags for Brynn, Mollie, and Nixon!  I wish I had taken a picture of one of the gifts...she had a coloring book made that had pictures of Lindsey and Curt and wedding stuff to color.  Their names were even in the book and it was just the cutest thing!  After we ate, people shared funny and sweet stories about Lindsey and Curt, everyone got emotional (which I just loved!), and it was just a really special time.  Then after the rehearsal I headed over to my parents house to spend the night with Lindsey before the BIG DAY!

Bridal Luncheon

Friday for lunch several close family members and friends hosted a Bridal Luncheon for all the girls in the wedding party.  We went to Rose Bed Inn in downtown Cape for a lunch of chicken salad croissants, salad (with the most delicious basil dressing...I even asked my waiter to just bring me a cup to dip stuff in!), and their famous Key Lime pie.  It was such a great meal with all the people closest to Lindsey.  I know I keep saying "it was so fun", but it really was such a neat experience!

I think by this point in the "wedding festivities" everyone knew everyone else, but we still went around
again and told who we were and how we were close to Lindsey.  Here is cute pregnant Erin telling
how our families have been close family friends since we were born!

Betty - this picture is for you!
Curt's grandma loved Lindsey's shoes!

Party hostesses...my grandma, family friend Mrs. Jamie, Lindsey, Aunt Tina, Ebby Lee,
and our cousin Erika.
If my husand ever reads this, I would love to be surprised with a bottle of that pesto dressing from Rose Bed Inn...hint hint!

Wedding Nails and a Baby Shower

Friday morning my mom let all the girls "pamper" themselves with manicures and pedicures!  (And just a shout out to my mom...she did so many incredible things for both my wedding and Lindsey's...I hope one day I can do all this fun stuff for Brynn's!)  We had so much fun!

My mom even brought coffee, juice, fruit, and muffins from My Daddy's Cheesecake!  YUM!

I went by myself at first because I thought it might be a little challenging to get my nails done while Brynn
was running around.  So Ryan brought her after a little while so she could see all the girls.
The nail place owner's have this little dog and it is the cutest thing EVER...I think we need to get one!

I painted Brynn's fingernails...she thought she was a big girl sitting up in that chair!

After nails, we headed to Sikeston for just a little bit because one of my best friends from college was having a baby shower.  She lives in DC and even though my day was crazy, I couldn't imagine not going!  The problem was I forgot my camera!  AHH!  So I don't have ONE single picture of Catey and I, but she looked beautiful and her shower was gorgeous!  It was so cool that she got to meet Brynn.  And Brynn tried to open all her presents, so of course she loved Catey!  HA!

WE'RE BACK...and Lindsey's Lingerie Shower

Whew!  What a crazy, busy, and very exciting couple of weeks it has been!  My sister GOT MARRIED and Ryan and I left the next day to go on an anniversary cruise!  We had a WONDERFUL time, but it was also so awesome to get back and see Brynn.  Needless to say, I have LOTS to blog about, so just prepare yourself for a load (that sounds kind of British doesn't it?  Perfect since I'm blogging while watching the opening Olympic ceremony on the DVR right now) of posts over the next week or so.

Thursday evening all the girls met up at my house and we had a lingerie shower for Lindsey!  We had appetizers, then headed to Saffron for dinner.  Then we came back to my house for some games and for Lindsey to open all her lovely new lingerie!  We had a BLAST!

Kelsie, Mary Kate, Curt's sisters Beth and Amanda, and Lily

Lindsey, Brittany, Courtney, Katie, Nicole, and Erin
It was neat having all the bridesmaids, candle lighters, and reception girls there!

That's a pretty darn cute group of girls if I do say so myself!

Playing one of the games...we laughed so much!!  But I have to say, this is about the only picture I can show...
my sister wanted the games to be really "fun" if you know what I mean!

Opening presents!
My sister has such a great group of family and friends!  It was so fun for all the girls in the wedding to get to know each other better and have a fun night to celebrate my sis!
