Elfie Shenanigans

I LOVE getting up early before anyone else is up...I make my cup (or multiple cups...ha!) of coffee and sit by the fireplace with all the Christmas lights on.  LOVE!  The sunrise was SO PRETTY on Sunday morning...

When Brynn came downstairs she couldn't BELIEVE what Elfie had done...she had to tell Daddy right away.  "Daddy you WON'T believe this! Just look at your toes!"

ELFIE PAINTED THEM PINK!

DADDY YOUR TOES LOOK LIKE A GIRL!

What?  What am I going to do?  How can I go to church?  "Daddy...just wear socks and shoes!"

Elfie...you've been a little naughty...

That was priceless...

Saturday - The Parties Continue...

The next Saturday morning we had to get up early for soccer...LIKE 8 AM EARLY!  WHOA!  I'm a morning person so it really wasn't that bad, and the best part was getting to go to iHop at 9 for BREAKFAST!  For some reason in the winter I LOVE going out to eat for breakfast.  It's just festive to me!  Pam kept Hollyn and Emory during the 8 am game and the "big girls" got to go out for pancakes.

After lunch we headed to Saint Francis to the pool for Brook's birthday party.  It was a swimming party and Ryan was AWESOME and let me sit out while he helped the girls.  Brynn would have been fine without us but Emory is a whole 'nother monster in the water.  She LOVES it but she can't swim by herself or with floaties without help.  I think her face says it all...

Abby and Brynn...TOO CUTE!

After we headed home for some downtime and naps we went to Shogun to celebrate Kelly's 31st birthday!  Brynn loved getting to hang out with Kate and the big boys...but she is NOT a fan of the fire.  HA!

Emory was enthralled watching him cook our dinner...

Catching the broccoli...

It's kind of hard to see in the picture but Brynn opened her mouth really wide and her eyes were closed...the guy went over and put it in!  HA!

How could the fun stop there?  We headed over to LeBounce and let the kids jump and play their hearts out...=)

Sweet little Paxton...Emory was running and chasing him ALL night (she has quite the pattern of loving the boys...HA!) You'd hear her yell "PAX? PAX?  Where Paxton go?"  At one point we couldn't find her and then it dawned on me that I told her Paxton had to go to the bathroom.,  Guess where Emory was?  In the bathroom with Paxton and Miss Kelly!  =)

Getting ready to slide down...selfie!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROOKS AND KELLY!

Boyer Christmas Party

The party continued later that Friday night when we headed to Erin and Trey's for a big Christmas party.  The kids could wear jammies and decorate cookies and the adults could wear Ugly Sweaters.  Erin did an AWESOME job planning so many fun little activities for the kids...we had so much fun!

Downstairs the kids got to paint their hand for an ornament, take pictures in a silly Christmas photo booth, write letters to Santa, play "pin the nose on Rudolph", etc.

Erin had a guessing game with hershey kisses.  Brynn guessed 100 and there were 106 so she WON!  She was SO EXCITED about winning the jar!  I asked the girls on the way home what their favorite part was and of course she said "the hershey kiss guessing game" and Emory said she loved eating the cookies (and decorating them too).  SO FUN!

Thank you Erin for an awesome party!  I can't wait for next year's party!

Friday Funday

The Friday after our Footprints Program we kicked off Christmas Break with a bang!  We headed to the Christmas Yule Cabin (I think that's what it's called?) out past Benton and it was so awesome!  They have about a billion Christmas trees that are all decorated with specific themes...the girls each got to pick a special ornament compliments of Grandma and Grandpa.  Brynn picked a "french" one (for "Fancy Nancy") and Emory picked out Dora.  The place was in the middle of nowhere and it was so cool!

Then at 3 we headed to the Osage Center to celebrate Millie's FIFTH birthday!  The girls had lots of fun playing games and celebrating.  =)

Millie's little sister Lyla is about 10 months older than Emory but they are such sweet little friends.  =)

And then there is "The Three Musketeers"...LOVE THESE GIRLS!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MILLIE!

Footprints Christmas Program 2015

On Thursday December 17 we had our Footprints Christmas Program!  It's at 1:30 and then after the program we have a special "Happy Birthday Jesus" party in our church Fellowship Hall.

Brynn and her assistant teacher, Mrs. Robin!  (Footprints long-time assistant Pre-K teacher, Mrs. Jan, is fighting liver cancer right now.  She got sick back in October and hasn't been able to return to school as she undergoes treatment.  We are PRAYING mightily that God would HEAL her for His glory!  We love you Mrs. Jan and are PRAYING FOR YOU!)

And Brynn's incredible Pre-K teacher, Mrs. Desera!

The girls and I took some pics before school on Thursday morning.  =)

We had the kids practice every morning for a couple of weeks...I snapped these pictures during our final run-through on Thursday morning.

Pre-K class 2015-2016!

After practice I got to make an exciting little delivery.  Ryan's grandma knits hats and she and some of her buddies had knitted literally hundreds of hats.  They give them to local elementary schools in the winter and they had so many extra that each child at Footprints got to pick out their own special sock cap.  The kids were SO EXCITED!

At 1:00 all the kids started getting ready.  Brynn got to hand out programs to everyone who came in.  (Including Gigi!  She had FOUR great-grandkids in the program...Hollyn in the 1's, Emory in the 2's, Charli in the 3's, and Brynn in the Pre-K! WOW!)

The 1's paraded through in their angel wings and I forgot to snap a picture.  Then the 2's got up to sing a couple of songs and ring bells for a song.  The 3's and Pre-K sat on the steps and helped sing the song while the little ones rang the bells.  It was so cute!

The funniest part was when Emory got up on the stage.  She saw Grandma and went crazy.  She was waving and laughing and yelling at the top of her lungs "HI GAM-MAW!  GAM-MAW!  HI!"  Like the whole audience could hear her and was laughing! OH MY!

I guess I didn't take any pictures of Brynn's class actually singing because I taken some at practice that morning.

We had lots of fun celebrating in the Fellowship Hall afterward.  I wish I would have taken more pictures with little friends, but I did get this one of Brynn and one of her best buddies, Millie.  Love these two girls!

The program was awesome and we had a PACKED HOUSE.  So many people said it was their favorite Christmas program Footprints has put on.  YAY!

This was the scene in our car within minutes of leaving the church...the classes hadn't napped because of the program.

Both girls napping in the backseat meant a Starbucks run for a Peppermint Mocha and a little drive around town looking at Christmas decorations and listening to Christmas music.  IT. WAS. AWESOME!

I even saw this while I was driving...WHOA!

Later that night the teachers got together to eat for a little Christmas get-together and to celebrate the end of the first semester.  Love all the girls I work with...but of course we are missing Mrs. Jan and are praying she will be able to return next year.

I am so blessed with a job that I truly LOVE and great people to work with!
