Fall Baking - Halloween Cookie Edition...

Fall is in the air, and so are the pre-made Halloween cookies at Wal-Mart!!  After the crazy pumpkin bread mess, I decided our next baking extravaganza wouldn't involve as much "stuff" so we decided to just pull apart the cute little cookies and lay them on the baking sheet.  Brynn loved pulling all the dough apart and rolling the extra dough into little balls and smashing them.  =) Oh, and yes, Brynn is in her PJ's because we decided to make cookies BEFORE breakfast...who doesn't like a little baking fun at 8:30 in the morning!

PEES, PEES, PEES, PEES, PEES, PEES
This is what Brynn sounds like when she wants me to open the bag.  She just says "please" over and over...

No...she didn't lay the cookies out this neatly.  She put them all in a blob on top of each other
and I tried to straighten them out and then she went back and wanted to touch them all and "pat" them
before we put them in the oven.  =)

Playing with some of the extra dough...
We popped the cookies in the oven and went back to her room to change her diaper and put on her real clothes for the day...we heard the timer go off and by the time we got back in the kitchen they were a little brown.  OOPS!  She didn't really seem to mind, we had one with breakfast!  (or maybe two or three!)

This is Brynn saying that the oven is HOT! "HOT, HOT!"

The cookies weren't too bad, but after sitting about 15 minutes they really were too brown to taste very good.  I should have set the timer for about 3 minutes less than the package said!  HA!  Oh well...the package came with two layers of cookies, so we get to make another batch soon.  YAY!
