Day 5 - Traveling Home

All good things must come to an end, huh? After 3 fun-filled days in Pigeon Forge, we loaded up and headed home.  The drive is about 6-7 hours, and since Nashville is halfway between, it was great to get to stop at my sister's apartment in Nashville and eat lunch with her and get out of the car.  She was the BEST little hostess...she made us soup and apple dessert!  I wish I had taken a picture of us eating at her cute little table...we propped up 5 of Curt's pharmacy textbooks to use as a booster seat for Brynn and she thought she was big stuff getting to sit at the table with all of us.  Lindsey and Curt's apartment complex even has a playground area and Brynn got to get out some energy playing before we hit the road again.  The last hour was NOT FUN...somebody was READY to get out of the car.  Luckily, Daddy took over duty in the back and tried to occupy her with the iPad.  We finally made it home and after she went to bed we had fun looking through all of our pictures of the trip.  Thank you Pam and Rick for a GREAT family vacation!

Hanging out on Aunt Lindsey's back porch.
And here are just a couple of pictures on my phone from earlier in the trip.  What did people ever do without iPhones at restaurants before?

Brynn and Ansley are enthralled with Uncle Kyle's phone...
This girl can work a phone...she knows how to turn it on and then ends up clicking on things
we didn't even know our phone had!
Hopefully there are lots more Smoky Mountain trips in our future!
