'Twas the Night Before Halloween...

The night before Halloween we headed over to Brad and Jennilee's house to eat some yummy soup (Jennilee made the Pioneer Woman's tortilla soup...DELISH!) and to carve pumpkins and decorate Halloween cupcakes with the girls.  We had lots of fun getting in the fall spirit!

Brynn didn't mind feeling the goop!

Brad was having some fun with Lyla and Millie =)
After soup we got out the cupcake decorating supplies...

During dinner we were having a conversation about watching the Pioneer Woman on TV.  I LOVE watching her show, but we were laughing about how everything is always so perfect and doing our best impressions of her taking "ice cream pops out to the boys who are working on the ranch".  LOL! Well, as we were decorating cupcakes, Jennilee got out these icing piping bags and the girls were going to town with them.  I look over and Brynn has squeezed her bag the wrong way and there was chocolate icing coming out the back of the bag all over the place!  (I thought I had a picture of the big mess it made...but I guess not).  Later, I look on the floor and there was a big blob of icing on the floor too.  We were cracking up and saying "Does this ever happen to the Pioneer Women?  Just once we want to watch her make a big mess!"  HA!

I did a double take, thinking "oh my gosh, did someone have an accident?"
Thankfully it was just chocolate icing!  HA!

Then we drew faces on the pumpkins and cut them out...

We took the pumpkins outside and put little candles in them so the girls could admire their Jack-O-Lanterns!

Sweet little friends!!!
So thankful for great friends and celebrating this fun time of year!
