Rowdy the Redhawk's Birthday

This past Saturday night we went to the SEMO basketball game.  SEMO had to change its mascot eight years ago (because they were the Indians) and they became the Redhawks.  This game was "Rowdy's 8th birthday party" and they invited all these mascots and had games, etc.  It was really cute!

Yep, we always sit at the top now.  It's a LOT easier for someone to run around and play!

They introduced all the mascots...she was enthralled!
HI cow, HI Rowdy!

Then all the mascots started walking around and she kept wanting to go see them.  So, my mom and I walked down and let her say hi to them.  It was a hoot.  She would get so excited, but when they got right next to her she would get shy and only give them a hi-five.  She wouldn't let them give her a hug or hold her.  We also saw Erin and Frankie and it was hilarious watching both of the kids with the mascots!

Okay, he's getting a little close!
(Oh, and she's eating a piece of string cheese during all this...haha!)

She wanted them to come over so bad!!
(String cheese all in mouth)

I was hoping the Little Caeser's mascot would be passing out breadsticks or pizza!
He gave her a bag of cookies.

It was really cute to watch kids ALL over the stadium walking around and hugging and saying hi to a bunch of mascots.  Then we had to go back up and show Daddy our cookies!

I took this picture because somebody in this section always holds up a picture of this girl (who I asked and I think
she plays basketball for SEMO).  Anyway - it's a big picture of her head and from far away she looks
IDENTICAL to my sister!  Do you see it ?   It's to the left of the basketball goal, under a backwards 3 poster?
Anyway, from far away it is uncanny how much it looks like Lindsey.  One game I went over there afterward to take a picture with it, but up close it doesn't look like her as much.

Family attempt number 1.

And attempt number 2!  HA!
It's no secret that we are huge sports junkies in our family, and we LOVE doing stuff like this!  (And I have to give a huge thanks to my great-uncle who has season tickets and never goes to the games and always lets us borrow his tickets! HAHA!)
