HOUSE UPDATE

Whoops!  I haven't posted a house update in awhile. =)

Outside we have about half the siding done.  My Uncle Bruce and my Dad, and even my Aunt Tina are doing all the siding.  My uncle does it for a living, and it has been so fun driving out there and visiting with them while they are working! (Actually...they don't like my visits because Uncle Bruce likes to work and not chit-chat, HA!,  but I enjoy our little visits.)  We have a darker brown on the bottom and the shakes and "board and batten" siding on some of the triangle gables is one shade lighter.  The back deck just got finished this past week (although it still needs to be stained).  So the main things still to go on the outside would be to finish the siding, add the shutters, and do the columns.

On the inside they are currently doing all the dry-wall.  All of it has been put up and they are working on mudding and sanding (is that the right terminology?) it.  Hopefully it will be finished within the next two weeks and then they will start painting.

We still probably have two to two and a half months to go...but it is so exciting!

The back...

Inside...

I really love our front door...we are going to have it stained espresso/black.

Back inside...(I don't know why these pictures are all out of order).

Under the deck...

Upstairs...linen closet and girls bedroom doors on the left and right.

Brynn and Ryan were outside and Emory and I were walking around taking pictures so we decided to take one of us...couldn't get her to look at the camera.

The siding crew did a fabulous job under the front porch!  =)

SO EXCITING!

As far as selling our house goes, we put it on the market with a realtor about a month ago.  We tried selling it by ourselves, but really didn't get anywhere.  I'm glad we tried though.  Now we've had a decent amount of interest, and even an offer (although we felt like it was a little low for only being on the market a couple of weeks).  We still have a couple of showings a week, and those are always fun to get ready for. NOT!  But hopefully we will find a buyer soon, and in the meantime we are just trying to trust God's timing.
