Soul Mate Live

Last Thursday evening our church put on "Soul Mate Live", a "date night" aimed at getting couples to re-energize their marriages while having lots of fun!  It was at the Venue and I think there were over 300 people there!  There was some crazy singing, skits, speakers, table talks and discussion with other couples, etc.  Ryan was asked to be one of the speakers, so he's been pretty involved with "Soul Mate Live."

About a month before this October event, they did a "trial" run where they invited a bunch of couples to our church to "preview" the event and give lots of feedback.  They tweaked some things, and then put on the big October event at the Venue.  I was able to go to the "run through" event a month ago and it was awesome!  But this time around I wasn't able to go.  Emory is just too little to go to the childcare that was offered, and both of our families attended, so I had some extra snuggle time with Emory while Ryan went to "Soul Mate Live" and spoke and helped out.  I am SO PROUD of him!  Here are a few pictures from the night.

Alex and Jason hanging out...are they security or what?  HA!

Our friends Drew and Emily were in the opening skit.

Our worship pastor Brian sang several songs...he was getting down!

My sister-in-law Sarah took this picture of Ryan speaking (I didn't take any pictures from the trial run night a month ago).  (The guys in the background were for a little skit thing that went along with Ryan's talk.)  Obviously the Lord gave him the words to say, but I really think he did a great job!  I am so blessed and thankful to have such a Godly man as the leader of our family!

Our friends Mark and Heather did some announcements and spoke about the value of getting
involved with a Life Group.
HUGE CROWD!  Soul Mate Live will be a quarterly event, and I can't wait to go to the one three months from now!

Our Life Group leader Fred is just awesome!  He was the final speaker.

And a little crazy singing to finish the night!

The entire Soul Mate Live event was organized and led by regular people in our church. I am so thankful for our church and all of the incredible people and friendships that we have made through it!
