Family Friend Christmas

This past Sunday we had our annual "Family Friend Christmas."  God truly blessed our family with a set of wonderful family friends growing up.  We have been sharing special memories with these families for years...vacations, holidays, etc.  Every Christmas Mrs. Lisa hosts the get-together (she is an incredible hostess!) and every year has a theme.  Since there are several little ones this year the theme was "Happy Birthday Jesus."

There's the "hostess with the mostess" herself!

Before we eat we always have a special reading/poem to go along with the party theme.  Some years the poem or reading makes everyone laugh, some years we cry.  This year we read special verses from the Bible that had names of Jesus.

Emily with Brynn...I told her she better get ready for the frilly tutus because they are having a girl in March!

"Adults" sit in the dining room, and "kids" (that's us) sit in the family room.  Here we are eating the DELICIOUS meal!

Me, Ryan, and Brynn, David and Holly (expecting their first child in January), Erin and Pete, Erin (Trey got there right after I took the picture...he was on nap duty with Frankie), Billy, and Mark (and Em and Wyatt).

Emily and Mark's little boy Wyatt...he is ADORABLE!

Frankie (also adorable) and Brynn
I guess Frankie and Wyatt are going to have to fight over little Brynn...haha!  Although from the looks of this picture Frankie doesn't want much to do with her right now! HA!

Erin and Frankie, me and Brynn, and Emily and Wyatt.
What a difference a year makes...last year I was pregnant and both of these girls had 6 month olds...this year I have an almost 9 month old, they have 18 month olds, and they are BOTH PREGGERS!  I can't wait to see what next year's picture looks like!
After we all ate we had such a good time visiting and hanging out!  Em lives in Saint Louis so it's so nice when she's home to visit.  We took the annual "huge family picture" (I didn't get one on my camera).  Then we all went to our church's Christmas choir concert, which was AWESOME!  What a fun night!
