Knoxville Roadtrip

The first weekend in March (right after the crazy snow) we headed to Knoxville to visit my sister and Curt!  Ryan and the girls hadn't seen their new house yet, and we had been looking forward to making the trip!!  The girls did great on the car ride!

Nashville means we are over half-way!

ROAD TRIP SUCCESS!

When we got there Friday night we ate pizza and then went to visit Uncle Curt at work!

We were sneaky..we crept over to the Wal-Mart Pharmacy and got to see the master in action...=)

Ryan walked up to the counter and then we surprised him!   Actually Emory yelling "CUT CUT! (Curt, Curt!) might have given us away.

We seriously hung out in Walmart for about half an hour waiting for Curt to get off work...we let the girls look through the toy aisle and seriously had such a good time...it's the little things, right?  HA!  Then we headed home, put Emory to bed, and the rest of us hung out for awhile.  We slept in the next morning...

had breakfast...

and headed to Lindsey and Curt's nephew's Upward basketball game!

Brynn has met their niece Mollie several times, and the girls quickly began doing cheerleading and dance routines on the sidelines.  HA!

We grabbed lunch and then headed over to stop by Curt's parents house to drop something off and say hi!  They have the coolest playhouse!

Then we headed to a nearby park/lake area and it was a gorgeous day!  We took a walk and had such a great time enjoying the beautiful weather!

This area is where the Tennessee teams do their rowing stuff...and Duke and Notre Dame were there for an exhibition meet the next day.

The boys took the girls home for naps and Linz and I had some GIRL TIME!

Later Saturday night we went to Chuy's Mexican...YUMMY!

And then after dinner we headed to this ice cream place that was having their "once a year" event where if you were your pajamas you get free ice cream!  HA!  My sister wanted to go, and I'm not one to turn down free ice cream, so we put on our jammies and headed over!

When we got back we put Emory to bed and let Brynn stay up with us.  Lindsey made some tea and Brynn thought she was so cool drinking hot tea.  HA!

We stayed up visiting, watching basketball, and hanging out and then went to bed pretty late.  I'm an early riser, so even with the time change and daylights savings time I didn't think I'd need to set an alarm.  WRONG!  The next morning we woke up 15 minutes before we were supposed to leave for Lindsey's church!  WHOOPS!

Plan B - We headed back to the lake area to watch a bit of the exhibition rowing competition.

And then we headed to a fun park nearby...

We packed our stuff up, had some Panera, and then headed for the 6 hour drive home.  We had THE BEST WEEKEND all together!

As soon as we got home we headed for church, where some of our good friends were having a special church service/fundraiser thingie.  After dinner, it was so fun watching a bunch of the kids playing together!   Of course Emory looked like she was 18 months going on 18!

SO THANKFUL for a great weekend!!!!!
