Brynn's BABY gets some TLC

Brynn will be THREE next Saturday, and for the last three years she has had a very special "lovie."  She LOVES to carry her "baby" with her to school everyday and she usually takes it wherever we go.  She doesn't carry it around AS much as she used to (ex. at the beginning of the school year she held it pretty much all day long while she went about her day, and now she just takes it and leaves it in her bag all day) but it's still super important to her.  If she gets hurt or gets upset about something (or even when she gets in trouble), she will usually yell "BABY!" and want to hold her.  SO...Baby has lasted for three long years, but finally needed a little TLC.  Her arm was about to fall off (it was hanging by a couple of threads) and her feet have had clear packing tape wrapped around them for the last couple of weeks to hold the stuffing in!  HA!  We made an emergency call to my Grandma and her talented sewing friend Mrs. Viva to get baby fixed.  On Monday the girls and I drove to Oran to visit with my grandparents while Mrs. Viva fixed Baby.

Poor arm...

While Mrs. Viva was fixing Baby, we hung out with Granny and Pawpaw.  We played lots of hide and seek in the basement, put puzzles together, and even went outside and ran around a bit.  My grandma made yummy soup and grilled cheese and chocolate cake!  (Which Brynn licked all the whipped cream icing off of and then needed more icing!  HA!)

Lots of special memories around this table!
My grandma and I were feeding Emory while Pawpaw and Brynn were on clean-up duty!

My child is not a fan of wearing pants inside the house...anyone else relate?

After lunch and hide and seek, Mrs. Viva showed up with Baby...it was AMAZING.  She is just incredible...I don't know how she did it but she took the "minky" fabric we picked out and she did awesome!  Baby is good as new!  (Despite still having a brownish color even after we wash her...ha!)

Brynn got the biggest smile when Mrs. Viva showed her Baby's new "shoes!"

When we drove home I just remember thinking how blessed we are to still get to see my grandparents on a regular basis, and just for the relationship that we have.  They love to snuggle my girls and I am so glad they are able to be such an important part of our lives.  LOVE YOU GRANDMA AND GRANDPA!  And HUGE thanks to Mrs. Viva for fixing Baby!!
