My dad took up an interesting hobby.,..tapping his maple trees and using the sap to make homemade maple syrup. He was so excited and he asked if I'd bring the girls over to help make it. His goal was about a pint of syrup (it takes 40 times the sap to make the syrup). So he started boiling, and boiling, and boiling!
Collecting the sap...it looks just like water. He had about 5 gallons collected!
Brynn got to help pour it in the "vat." HA!
Later that night he sent us a picture of about four little containers of brown MAPLE SYRUP! We got to have a taste and it was really good! I was so impressed!
