Father's Day weekend we spent the weekend with Pam and Rick and their CAMPER in the booming metropolis of PERRYVILLE ( HA! It's a little town like 30 minutes away...but it has a pretty cool campground!)
We loved the bouncy houses they had!
Ryan is soo good with all the girls! And we were pulling double duty since Uncle Jason and Aunt Sarah had a wedding to go to and we were with all the girls...(minus Hollyn).
On Saturday evening we took a side trip to "downtown" Perryville to visit my Grandma Sally in the nursing home center where she lives. Brynn and Ansley and Emory loved seeing Grandma's room and playing with the cats in the courtyard. On the way back we stopped to get gas and the girls wanted to help Ryan clean the windshield.
Watching these two was a hoot...
Then we got to do something really really cool! We took a "smores" campfire ride! The trailer thing had a small fire pit running down the middle that we could roast marshmallows on and it was so fun to do that together! Notice Yogi Bear on the wagon ride...Emory was slightly obsessed with YOGI!
Emory was a HUGE mess!
At night we sat around the campfire and played some silly games with the girls...it was AWESOME!
And then the night happened...let me just say that there were 8 of us sleeping in the camper, it was pretty hot, and my bedmate (Ansley) woke up in the middle of the night and THREW UP! (Thankfully she had gone to Pamaw like 10 minutes before)....OH MY. I was thinking that camping was going okay until all that craziness...I may never camp again!
But after my couple of hours of sleep we were ready for more camping adventures (insert I had to drive to McDonalds for coffee, and I was counting the hours until naptime! HA!).
Ansley was feeling better and I was praying it was just something she ate (which it probably wasn't because sometime during the next week every one of us threw up at least once! AHHH!) But we didn't know it at the time, so we had lots of fun swimming and playing...
These two played SO GOOD together!
And this one looked ADORABLE in Daddy's hat so I could overlook the fact that she wanted to get in the big pool one minute and then in the baby pool the next minute and repeated that pattern for an entire hour (ha!) At least we got some exercise!
Emory asked if she could get this many Yogi's from the gift shop...=)
And no...we didn't let Ryan buy this hat! HA!
And this is what our car looked like on the drive home...=)
Camping always seems to have its crazy points, but the fun memories we made with all the girls made it all worth it! (Well...maybe not the throwing up part...I'm still a little scarred from that...=)
