On Tuesday we got up and ventured off the ship to the beautiful island of Saint Marten! It was a GORGEOUS day and we had so much fun exploring and playing at the beach.
We walked along a little scenic roadway for like 10 or 15 minutes until we got to a public beach where we rented tents and set up camp.
Pamaw is a good sand castle builder!
We walked around for what seemed like hours until we found this fun little beach restaurant...it was worth the wait! We had a great view of the ocean and lots of shade and breezes!
We knew we wanted to walk around and explore and shop, but it was also nap time so we just got out Emory's nap blankie and poof...like magic this little one was OUT!
I don't know if there is anything more precious than a sleeping chubby little toddler!
And while Emory was snoozing..Brynn and Charli were getting their hair braided by some locals!. We had quite an interesting time talking to them about nursing children of all things (Sarah needed to feed Hollyn and she was like "uh, this is awkward with everyone around!" To which the locals were like "oh darling we do it here all the time...and started telling us about nursing their 8 year olds in public!" It was hilarious!
Notice her black eye starting to really come out?
Sarah and I got chunky braids too!
We walked back and had such a great time enjoying the GORGEOUS views and the amazing weather!
Then it was back on the boat for dinner! This was the girls fresh fruit and veggie appetizer...it looked like Mickey before the girls moved it around!
We were back at the Animator's Palate restaurant and this night they had us draw characters on this special paper and then at the end of the dinner all of our characters came to life on the big screens all over the restaurant! It was so fun to watch and see the girls say "HEY THERE IS MY PICTURE DANCING ON THE SCREEN!"
Watching the cartoons come to life!
Some cell phone pictures from the day...getting ready in the morning and the girls were in their matching Chevron outfits...until stinker POOPED in her diaper cover!
Trying a coconut smoothie...it was AMAZING! (And probably a day's worth of calories in one single cup!)
This sparked the fun nursing convo...just had to put it in! Sarah handled it like a champ...and she has come a long way from the days of nursing Ansley hiding in a closet! HA!
Walking back was so much fun!
Such a fun day! It was such a surreal experience to take our little girls to a foreign place and watch them experience another place!
