Friday was our very last day on the cruise and our port was Disney's private island "Castaway Cay". Ryan and Jason signed up to run a 5K on the island, so that morning they went to some race meeting and then we met them to go aboard the island and watch the race.
Waiting to watch the boys finish...
Whoa! Ryan did awesome and he got second place overall! Go Ryan!
Then we headed to some tents/umbrellas and set up at the beach. The girls LOVED swimming and playing and Brynn's swimming lessons paid off and she loved getting to swim out pretty far in the water with us!
They had an amazing buffet lunch outside and we enjoyed every bit of it! First, we had a little dance party with Pluto (TUTO!!!!!!!!)
It was so nice and breezy under this sunshade that Pam and Rick brought...we knew the littlest girls would need naps, so we brought Emory's blanket and attempted to let her sleep at the beach. FAIL...she was hilarious. She would say "night night" but then she'd crawl around and play in the sand so we just let her swim with us and she stayed awake until almost 4:00, when we left.
As soon as we started walking back to the boat, she was OUT.
After the girls got up from naps we had a little snack and then headed to our last show. And then we headed to dinner.
Last dinner!
Last dance party...
Last time seeing DeDe. I totally shed some tears...she was the sweetest and I knew Emory was going to miss her so much.
The first day we got there we dropped off a photo mat and a pillowcase at Guest Services, and one of the last days of the trip, they dropped it off at our room all signed. Brynn's photo mat was signed by all the princesses, and we had Emory's signed by all the Mickey characters. And then Brynn's pillowcase (thought i had a pic but guess not) was signed by EVERYONE. It was so sweet that they did that!
When we got home, we had to set up a shelf dedicated to all of Brynn's cruise souvenirs!
I cannot even explain what a wonderful time we had. Getting to experience so many fun things with our girls and with family was just so fun. Watching the girls see new places and watch the shows, and have special dinners...it was all just awesome. It was also SO NICE to have an entire week with NO PHONE service and to be completely unplugged.
If you are thinking about a Disney Cruise I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend it. It was THE BEST time, and I wouldn't change a thing. I don't know how Disney does it, but everything was just perfect...every single person was amazing, the food was incredible, the service was perfect, etc. GO! Now just let me go back with you!
