House Update - We Have A Basement Floor

I can't believe the weather has cooperated enough (aka temperatures aren't "frigid arctic" anymore) that they are able to start working again.  HOPEFULLY things are going to start really moving.  They have been getting the basement ready to pour the concrete, with plans to pour it today (Friday).  So Thursday night we drove out there and checked it out...

In the space between the walls and where they excavated (that probably doesn't even make sense)
we find all kinds of interesting things...lots of golf balls, cans of tuna and spam, and even this
flower arrangement???  That must have just been thrown in there within the last week?  Weird!

Look...we have plumbing pipes/stuff in the basement!  WOOHOO!

This is the basement "floor" getting prepped for the concrete to be poured.

This morning (Friday morning) the girls and I drove out there to check it out and see if the concrete was really going to be poured.  (After 3 months of stuff not happening, I tend to be a little skeptical.)  THERE WERE PEOPLE WORKING! =)

They had already poured it earlier in the morning, and were waiting to put some kind of "finisher" or something on it.

Framing is supposed to start on Monday!
