Emory - 5 Months

This post is almost two weeks late..we took the pictures on time, but I just didn't get around to posting...whoops!  On Valentine's Day Emory turned 5 months old!

• She is wearing 3-6 month clothes and wearing a size 2 diaper.
• She weighs a little over 14 pounds.
• She has tried oatmeal, fruit (apples and bananas), and veggies (sweet potato, avocado, carrots, and peas).  I think her favorites are definitely sweet potato and avocado.
• This month she really got good at eating from a spoon!
• This month we took both of her arms out of the swaddle, so she sleeps with her middle swaddled kind of loosely, but both arms are out.  And she LOVES to sleep on her belly.  She never stays on her back EVER.
• She loves to put EVERYTHING in her mouth and she has gotten really good at grabbing for things and holding on to little toys.
• A typical day is something like this...wake up around 7:30.  She nurses and plays.  While we eat breakfast she also eats a little oatmeal with a little fruit (applesauce or banana).  She is ready for a morning nap around 9:30 and sleeps until 11 (I usually wake her up).  She nurses around 11 or a little after and while we eat lunch she has some veggies.  She takes an afternoon nap from around 1-3 or 3:30.  She nurses and plays.  She takes a catnap from about 5:15-6.  She doesn't nurse a whole lot at 6, but nurses a little and then has some oatmeal and veggies.  She is ready for bed at 8:15 or 8:30.  Even though she's asleep, I go in and get her about 9 and nurse one more time before laying her down for good.  She sleeps until about 7:30 the next morning.
• I think she found her feet...she doesn't grab for them much, but there have been several times she's held onto both feet and tried pulling them all the way to...her mouth!  HA!
• She is just THE BEST baby!  Brynn was an easy baby too, but I don't know if she was this easy-going.  We get comments all the time about how content and happy and smiley she is.  I just love her sweet, happy little personality and pray it always stays that way!!!

These two just light up our lives SO MUCH!  The time is just FLYING BY so quickly.  I am LOVING the stages BOTH girls are in and I am just SO IN AWE that God would entrust these two little PEOPLE to US.
