Last week Brynn and I headed to the dentist for Brynn's VERY first appointment. My friend Ashley is a dentist there, and so we decided that's where we would take Brynn. (It's not just a pediatric dentist like I went to when I was little, but it's for all ages...kids through adults). I had an appointment first, and Brynn got to watch. Then "Dr. Ashley" did Brynn's whole exam. Brynn thought she was such a big girl and was really proud of herself. We got a good report and lots of fun goodies that Brynn brought home to show Emory and Daddy!
Dr. Ashley even gave Brynn a princess toothbrush, and let Brynn pick out a Dora one for Emory! HA! As soon as we got home, Brynn was trying to teach Emory how to brush her two little teeth! It was pretty hilarious!
Look out everyone....Brynn is now on "brush your teeth" patrol!
It seems that Brynn was in good and high spirits at the time of her first dental visit. That's the way to go. Dental work shouldn't have to be such a drag, much less a chore you literally grin and bear to sit through. You should always make the trips transcendent in ways that it will connect the most to your child and much for you as well. Kudos!

It’s nice to know that Brynn took it all in stride and was pretty calm on her first dental visit. Kids are usually afraid on their first few visits, but Brynn seemed to have really enjoyed Dr. Ashley’s company. Your daughter is really a brave little darling! Cheers!

Wow! I love how Brynn showed maturity in understanding the importance of oral health. She looks so comfortable and relaxed while sitting on the dentist’s chair. You must be so proud of her. Thanks for sharing that, Whitney! I hope all future trips to the dentist will be as successful as that. All the best to your family!
