Ansley's 5th Birthday - Frozen Style

Sarah was (still is) an awesome ice skater, and she has passed on her love of skating to Ansley.  So when Ansley wanted to have an ice-skating party, and combine it with a "Frozen" theme, it was perfect!  The only problem is that Cape doesn't have an ice-skating rink anymore, so the party was in St. Louis at the Kirkwod ice rink.  (Which is why we decided to spend all weekend in St. Louis).

We got up that morning and all headed to the American Girl store.  We let Ansley pick out some stuff for her doll Saige as a birthday present.  (Which was also hilarious because I was trying to explain that Uncle Ryan and Aunt Whitney probably wouldn't be buying her the $100 wheelchair or the $100 horses...HA!)  Then we had a quick lunch on the way to the skating rink.  Several of Ansley's closest friends and their families made the trip all the way to St. Louis for the party, which was SO SWEET!  We had so much fun attempting to skate.  =)

GOOD MORNING ST. LOUIS!
Ryan wasn't the biggest fan of the American Girl store.  Come on Ryan...this place is AWESOME!

When we got to the rink we all changed into warmer clothes because the rink is so cold.  So I forgot pants for myself...clearly I had an interesting outfit going on...but not to worry,my friend Heather brought 2 pair of jeans so she came to the rescue!

I had fun attempting some fun spins (aka I fell down a lot) and of course I tried some triple axles....NOT!

Obviously she wasn't moving very fast, but she amazes me with her balance...she did pretty good all by herself!

Then we came back in a party room for cake and presents.

Earlier in the week Brynn REALLY wanted to get Ansley some Frozen panties...hilarious!  She was SO EXCITED for Ansley to open them!  Like...super excited!

And Emory really mastered waving this weekend...she makes this "haaaaaa" sound while moving her little arms...it is adorable!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANSLEY...Uncle Ryan, Aunt "Win-tee", Brynn, and Emory love you SO MUCH!
