Thursday night it started icing, and it iced/snowed all night and turned into snow all day Friday. Ryan had a whopping two patients on Friday morning and places were shutting down, so he was home by lunchtime! We ended up getting 6-8 inches of snow on top of the ice the day before. Needless to say, the roads were bad all weekend and are still bad. Our church was even cancelled on Sunday morning!
Even though cabin fever was starting to set in =) we had such a great weekend as a family. I don't think we've all just hung out together that much in a long time! We spent a LOT of time in the basement, playing, wrapping Christmas presents, etc. We watched a lot of football (Mizzou lost the SEC championship game, but we were still SO PROUD of our Tigers and have SO ENJOYED cheering them on this season!) and a lot of Christmas movies. We also got several projects done around the house. We didn't go outside to play in the snow because Brynn got a yucky cold (praying Emory doesn't get it, but I'm sure that's inevitable) and Emory is just too little to be outside. There's always next year, right?
I snapped a couple of pictures from Friday night. We ventured out to get a pizza and then watched Frosty the Snowman on TV.

Clearly we didn't realize Brynn had a bad cold at this point...
On Saturday night we DID get to have a night out because it was Ryan's big work party at the Venue. My parents kept the girls for awhile and I got to drown my Mizzou sorrows in the all-you-can eat Christmas buffet! HA!
Thankful for lots of time with our little family of four!
