On the Saturday before Easter we headed to Ryan's parents house because they were hosting Easter for the "Hawn" side of the family (which means Ryan's grandma, his mom and all of us, his Aunt Kim and her clan, and his Aunt Soni and her kids). Altogether there were like 25 or 30 of us! We started with an Easter egg hunt for all the little kids, and then had a DELICIOUS supper, and then just hung out and watched the kids and some basketball. It was a fun evening of being with family!
Ansley and Brynn finding some eggs... |
Brynn wanted to stop and open every egg she found because she just knew there would be "can-ee" hiding inside. I kept trying to encourage her to go around and find some more eggs because they were going fast!
She definitely has a SWEET TOOTH! |
Sweet cousin Charli! |
Ryan's Aunt Soni is SUPER GENEROUS...she had filled some eggs with a NICE amount of money and passed them out to all the little kids. It's kind of the family joke that Aunt Soni has filled up half these kids college accounts with her birthday and holiday gifts...except that it's really not a joke! =) Thank you Aunt Soni and Uncle Val!
After supper Brynn and Ansley were having lots of fun putting on a show for everyone...Ansley was trying to tell the Easter story (although it came out more like the Christmas story, which was adorable!), Brynn was trying to sing and dance and attempt to "read" a book...which sounded like she was speaking in tongues! We were all CRACKING UP! Fun memories!
These two are not short on personality...clearly! |
Then Aunt Kim had her grandson Brooks come over to get in on the singing...they attempted a rendition of Jesus Loves Me but I don't think they made it very far! HA! |
Then the reading of the Easter story...HILARIOUS! In all seriousness...we have been reading Brynn some books about the true meaning of Easter, and pray that one day she will come to truly understand what it is all about! We serve a RISEN SAVIOR! Thank you God for the incredible gift of sending your Son to die for us and SAVE US! HAPPY EASTER!
