It has been a tradition to spend Christmas Eve mid-morning/afternoon at Ryan's parents. We open presents and always eat a delicious lunch of shrimp and steak. This year was so much fun...especially with Brynn getting in on all the action.

Ryan's family always starts out by reading the Christmas story. Usually we read it straight from the Bible but with Brynn and Ansley being so little, they decided to read a children's book version. It started out so well... |
HAHA! Poor Papaw...he was trying to read the story but Brynn decided it would be more fun to pull his hair and blow raspberries at him than listen to the story. I hope she doesn't do this to her teacher in kindergarten! Papaw kept reading, but Brynn made it quite difficult for him to finish! HA! |
Then it was time for presents...she wanted to crawl all over the boxes! |
Daddy...can I open this for you? |
She opened several cool books, a lion "rider" toy, a carseat, etc. Thank you Pamaw, Papaw, Uncle Kyle, Uncle Jason, Aunt Sarah, and Ansley for all my cool presents! |
She was so interested to see what it was! |
Brynn wanted to be ALL OVER the place...thankfully it was time for her to eat a little lunch while we were still opening presents, so we popped her in the highchair and gave her some green beans and puffs while everyone kept opening. She is getting SO MOBILE...so it was a little tricky trying to keep her away from everyone's stuff (and to get her to quit putting all the tissue paper in her mouth! HA!) |
We had a wonderful day celebrating at Pam and Rick's house! Brynn took a monster nap downstairs, so we enjoyed eating our delicious Christmas Eve lunch and playing around with our new iPad! WHOA! We were literally CRYING we were laughing so hard from taking silly pictures of each other with the photo booth app! We woke Brynn up around 3:30 and headed home to unload and get ready for the Christmas Eve service at our church.
