In April we took the college kids to Logan Valley for a weekend retreat. We seriously had the BEST time studying God's Word and playing any and every game you can think of!
We left on Friday afternoon (my parents kept the girls ALL weekend...thank you Mom and Dad...you are the BEST!) A few of the girls couldn't come until the next day so we ended up having all the guys ride in the church bus and the girls drove up together.
The theme for our weekend was relationships - our relationship with the Lord, with fellow believers and friends, in romantic relationships, and fostering relationships with non-believers. We had so much yummy food each and every meal!
Saturday morning the rest of the girls drove up with Rick and Pam...they had a SEMO athlete walk for women event that morning and left once the walk was over. (Two play basketball for SEMO and two are gymnasts at SEMO). We couldn't wait for them to get there!
Bean-boozled college edition...aka where Will got paid $15 to eat 20 beans at one time...GROSS! We all took turns eating and it was hilarious!
Tennis ball golf anyone?
We had a MONSTER game of kick-ball. It was pretty epic...we went into extra innings. The weather was just AWESOME for being outside!
Then it was time for the high-ropes stuff...we climbed a rock wall and a totem pole and walked across a very very high up bar. We got to zip-line down. Everyone had a lot of fun but we realized a lot of us have a fear of heights! HA!
Then we did some low ropes team building stuff and it was hilarious!
These girls have seriously been SUCH a blessing in our family's life this year. We LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH!
So thankful to be able to serve the Lord by helping in college ministry. These are some of the best and formative years in their lives and we are thankful to be a part of that. What an AWESOME weekend!
