Crazy Socks

This girl is just too much...she is getting QUITE the personality.  I know I say that frequently, so I guess it just keeps getting even more spunky??  HA!  She thinks she should be allowed to get into everything...oh brother!  I found these pictures on the camera and Ryan said he took them when they were playing the other day.  She found some of his socks and kept trying to put them on.  (She wants to be Miss Independent, but just can't do most stuff all by herself yet.  When I'm doing laundry she is always trying to put my clothes on...especially my underwear...sorry for the visual!).  Ryan put the socks on her and she thought she was BIG stuff!

Now she's found Daddy's wallet...

And then she started taking all his cards out...ha!
She may be a mess, but she's the cutest mess around!

Church Fellowship Night

Sunday night we had a church-wide fellowship picnic!  They had lots of yummy food, and even had bounce houses for the kids.  I wish I would have taken pictures at the church but I didn't.  Then they rented out the entire water park for everyone to go to.  It was fun watching the kids play, but it was actually a little chilly, so I let Ryan do most of the playing IN the water!  HA!

Such a good daddy!
Look at her blue lips...it was cold, but all the kids were having a blast!

On Ryan's third trip down with Brynn he got in trouble by the lifeguard.  Evidently, he was
too big to go down the slide!  HA!

Loving on Baby Charli after her swim.
She's always trying to give her the paci.

Ansley was a little chilly!

Brynn took someone's sunglasses off of a chair and put them on...HA!
Our worship pastor Bryan wanted to jump in the pic!  =)
Even though these pictures don't really look like it, there were tons of people at the water park.  =)  We had so much fun hanging out with our family and friends and watching the kids play!  I'm so glad our church does this every year.  During the picnic, some of us were down at the church playground watching our girls play and I just had this feeling of how blessed we are to go to a church with lots of young families and lots of friends in our same stage of life.  Thank you God for a wonderful church family!

Lazy L Safari Day

This morning we headed to Lazy L Safari.  It's a petting zoo/exotic animal place in town.  They were having a "Wild West Weekend" with a show and stick-horse races, etc.  We had never been there before, so we decided to give it a shot.  It turned out to be really fun, and I was surprised by how many different kinds of animals they have.  Brynn seems to love animals, and we are always saying that we need to take her to the zoo, so having this just 10 minutes away was really cool!

The show was cute.  We got to see some roping...

My genius child was yelling "Yeehaw..."  Just kidding...but it looks like she could have been.  =)
She's actually in the middle of clapping for the show...

Look closely...this isn't a horse.  It's a...

ZORSE...no lie.  It's a cross between a horse and a zebra!

Watching the show with Erin and Frankie.

She LOVES birds.  She doesn't call them birds though, she says "tweet tweet."
She will point up in the sky and say "tweet tweet."

Goat petting area.
Sometimes she would want us to hold her, but she still liked trying to pet them.
Then when they would come close she would laugh but then run to us.  It was cute!

Snakes, frogs, tarantulas, etc.
This was NOT my favorite area!

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas....

She started getting really brave...

Then we realized that you could go IN the bird area.  I was trying to not let her see that it
freaked me out, but they were fluttering all over the place and I could just picture them pooping
in my hair...I tried to stand to the side and just take pictures.

They had these "food sticks" to feed them with.

There were a few more things left to see...Miss Brave continued to try to touch stuff...

and before we knew what happened, she got pecked by a chicken!  HA!
As soon as I saw her walk up to that little fence I meant to grab her back and say "let's not try to pet those"
but almost immediately she put her hands through and a little one got her.  It didn't bother her for very long,
but I just hope when we go to the fair and see the animals she still wants to pet the cute goats!
We had so much fun taking Brynn to see all the animals.  They had zebras and camels, emu and ostrich, llamas, and some things I couldn't even pronounce.  I definitely see us going back there again soon!

St. Louis & City Museum

This past weekend we headed up to St. Louis with Ryan's parents and Jason and Sarah (and Ansley and Charli) to take on the City Museum!  The boys had a triathlon in the morning, so we ended up not leaving until like 10:30.  (I was really proud of myself for being so flexible...sometimes I can be a bit controlling about Brynn's naps, so the fact that we were just going to play it by ear and let her nap in the car when she could was a bit frightening but turned out to be just fine...that's not to say I plan to do that frequently, but surprisingly the world did not end without a nap in her crib...shocking I know.)

She loved seeing the turtles and fish!

All I could see in this ball pit were millions of bacteria...and I'm not even close to being a germ-a-phobe...

Sweet cousins...

You know you are a parent when your cute purse is replaced by a cartoon backpack...

Who is this BIG GIRL???

Ansley LOVED riding this little train, but when we put Brynn in she was NOT having it!

Going down the 3 story slide with Uncle Jason!

Look how big baby Charli is getting!

After having 3 boys, now Pamaw and Papaw have 3 sweet granddaughters!
SO CUTE!

We had such a good time, despite a 45 minute traffic jam, naps in the car, our car not starting because the battery was dead, and a bacteria-filled museum!  HA!  I can't wait to go again, I'm just going to take anti-bacterial hand gel the next time!  =)  Thanks Pamaw and Papaw for treating us all to a great day!
