Pre-wedding Workout

Thursday the wedding festivities officially began with our "pre-wedding workout."  We all love to work out, and we did this before my wedding too!  All the girls met at the gym and my mom had rented out one of the exercise classrooms.  A family friend who teaches classes there gave a private class for all of us.  We had a blast!!!  It was such a hoot and was such a fun bonding experience between everyone...there were 16 of us there!  Grandma's, parents, family friends, bridesmaids, and friends!!!

Picking out a smoothie for after the workout!

Lindsey got to wear this "veil" during the workout!

My grandma and aunt setting up their step.

There were 16 of us...SO MUCH FUN!

Robyn...our workout teacher extraordinaire!  Thanks Robyn....but I am still a little sore!  HA!

-After the workout we all went into the gym's conference room.  They passed out our smoothies and we all got to go around and tell who we were and how we know Lindsey...it was the first "wedding event" so not everyone had met everyone else yet.  It was just so much fun!  Mom - thanks for doing this...it was a blast!

Little Miss Trouble and Meeting Baby Paxton

Whew!  What a BUSY, CRAZY, EXCITING week.  It's WEDDING WEEK and the countdown is ON!  Today we took a break from wedding stuff and met Ryan's grandma for lunch at her clubhouse.  Brynn was a MESS!  She just wanted to look at all of the elderly people having lunch, and then she got real red and started grunting and they were all laughing.  I said "what are you doing?"  She says "poop" which of course made everyone laugh so she kept yelling "poop poop poop."  HAHA!  At least we provided some entertainment!

I took the girls out on the sun porch for awhile...Brynn kept trying to get in everyone's stuff!

Then we came inside.  Sarah was nursing Charli so I was watching the girls...I turned my head for two seconds and they were off.  Where did I find them?  In the MEN's bathroom with the stall door closed!!  Brynn was pulling off all the toilet paper and flushing it down!

These two...TROUBLE!

She was clearly having fun...I probably should have used this as a teaching moment about
how we don't do this, etc. but I just couldn't stop laughing!

And her signature move...waving good-bye as she flushes the toilet paper down!
And yes, I realize this is really unsanitary...I washed her hands really well afterward, I promise!

Then tonight we went up to the hospital to visit Kelly and Jared and their new baby boy!  Since Jared and I are first cousins, that makes our kids second cousins to each other.  For those of you who don't know, Kelly  has been one of my very best friends since we were little.  How crazy that one of my best friends and I have kids who are related!  So cool!  Paxton was so sweet and Kelly was doing AWESOME!  What a blessing!

Tomorrow is a "wedding work-out" for all the girls, then the lingerie shower I'm hosting is tomorrow night.  Friday is packed with pre-wedding "stuff" and Saturday is the big day!  Combine that with packing for our anniversary cruise with Erika and Tab (we leave Sunday) and that makes for one crazy awesome next few days!  I wouldn't have it any other way!

Green Smoothies!!

My sister and I have been trying a new beauty ritual in these last few days before her wedding...drinking green smoothies!! The one we made in the pictures below had five cups of spinach!! It was also packed with fresh fruit, yogurt, and milk so I felt super healthy...and the best part? It was so good!! You seriously can't taste the spinach! I wish I had a personal chef to whip me up one of these every morning!!

Fancy Hairdo...

Brynn found this little jar with some hair clips...she kept trying to put all of them in her hair so my sister and I decided to put them in.  She just sat there so still so we could clip them in!  It was so funny when we got done and I guess she was really excited about her hair because she left it in for the rest of the day!  HA!

Obviously I wouldn't normally fix her hair like this, but I just love having a sweet little girl to play dress up with!

Vacation Bible School/Preschool Praise Week

We have had the BEST week!!!  This week our church had Vacation Bible School.  The preschool is only open to workers children, and they have a special VBS Praise Week.  I worked in the preschool as a "runner" which was the best job because I got to do a little of everything...make snacks, spy on Brynn, set up craft rooms, put up art projects and pictures, etc.  Brynn seemed to have a GREAT time this week too!  We just had so much fun!  (Sidenote - she's also become very attached to her lovie this week...she took "Baby" (she pronounces it "bee bee") everywhere this week!)

On Monday the kids talked about Shadrach, Meshac, and Abednego (spelling??)
and a firetruck came!  They got to explore the firetruck and play with some equipment.

-

Getting to see some donkeys and miniature horses!
(Just for the record I didn't take ANY of these because I tried to stay out of her line of sight all week!
Anytime I saw her little class coming I would veer out of the way and peek around to watch!)

CRAFT TIME!
The kids did the cutest crafts all week...we are going to have to frame this one!

Working with our preschool director, Mrs. Christy!  Our church is so blessed to have her!

I worked with Cori and Jennilee all week!  We had a blast working together!
Cori is going to be a senior in high school and we had fun meeting her.
Jennilee moved to Cape recently because her husband is our church's new administrator.  Her little
girl Millie is only 3 months older than Brynn, and God totally had his hand in us working together.
It was so awesome getting to know her better.  We bonded over many things this week...
talking about our favorite television shows, spying on our little girls, planning the games for my sister's
lingerie shower, and discussing craft projects we want to do in the fall!  =)  LOVE this girl!

I know it's blurry, but this makes my heart just MELT!
Yes, that is little Brynn holding on to the rope to walk back to her classroom!
I have NO WORDS!

Now here are some pictures that I took from VBS family night on Wednesday.  The big kids got up first to sing some of the songs they had been learning.  Then the preschool kiddos got up and "sang" two songs.  You know we had our video camera out the WHOLE TIME! HA!  It was PRECIOUS...I couldn't believe I was actually watching my tiny little baby standing up on that stage!

Preschool's turn...

Ms. Kathi took her up...she stood by her and just looked around for the first song.

Getting a little more brave...

Do you see her with the big kids?  She walked over and started moving and bouncing...it was so cute!

Then we got to show Daddy and Grandpa (Ba-Paw) the horses...she was a big fan of petting them...

But she DID NOT want to sit on it!  HA!

Last summer when Brynn was like 3 months old I remember taking her stroller up to the church just so we could walk around and watch VBS...I remember thinking..."will I really have a big girl next year who can come to this?"  I couldn't wait for her to experience it, and it was so much fun this week getting to be apart of it!  They sang so many songs, played outside and inside, heard Bible stories, had Mrs. Francis's signature VBS cheese crackers (which I only made about 5000 of this week!), etc.  I am so thankful for a church that places such a high priority on teaching little children and even babies about God's love!

Liam's Waterpark Birthday!

We recently celebrated Liam's second birthday with a trip to Cape Splash!  Brynn LOVES the waterpark, especially the little splash pad area.  What a fun afternoon!

Having lunch at the party!

Doesn't she just look so big?

Brynn isn't really big enough for too much stuff at the waterpark, but she loves the
toddler-friendly splash pad area!  She was having lots of fun with her friend Millicent!

Millicent is only 3 months older than Brynn....I see these two having lots of fun together in the future!

The BIRTHDAY BOY!
Happy Birthday Liam!  Thanks for a great party!
