Christmas Home Tour 2015

I decided this year I was going to take pictures of our house all "dressed up" for Christmas because it's fun to look back and see how I decorated, and 2 - it should make it easier next Christmas to remember where I put everything!  HA!  I thought our house felt so cozy and Christmasy and we really enjoyed all of our decorations this year!

Laundry room...(even it got a random tree!)

I love putting our Christmas cards on our cabinets...the girls LOVE to see all the pictures and it's fun to look at them when we are making supper or eating.

I need assistance with a tree topper!  HA!  Ryan called this my "frozen explosion" at the top!  HA!

Each day when we read our little Advent Books we would hang them on this little black ornament hanger...

We put our real tree in the dining room and I LOVED it!

One of my favorite trees is our little B tree...

Upstairs we have the kid tree...all the girls ornaments, Ryan's old special ornaments, ornaments from family trips, etc.  I love the colored lights and colored balls and how fun it is!

We even decorated a little bit outside...it's fun finding spots for everything and we loved celebrating our second Christmas in our new house!

Rowdy and Jammie Cocoa Christmas

A few days before Christmas the SEMO girls had a basketball game in the early afternoon.  Brynn and one of her besties Bella LOVE to cheer on the Redhawks together and they are a HOOT to watch at the games.  =)

You know how there are funny things your kids do on repeat...one of Emory's little quirks is that after EVERY single SEMO game she brings home multiple programs (I find them all over the house) and she turns to the page with Kaley and Ashton and looks for their pictures and points to them.  She does it all the way home from the games and randomly all over the house. I finally took a picture of her doing it because she does it all the time!  (There Miss Ashton...there miss kay-wee!)

After the basketball game the girls went down for naps and I was laying on the couch face-timing with Linz...afternoon therapy...chatting with the sis and eating a Christmas tree cake.  (LOVE THOSE!)  We realized we were wearing the exact same shirt...HA!

Kaley had thrown Brynn a t-shirt at the beginning of the game and Brynn was SO EXCITED.  She came right home and wrapped it all by herself and put it under the tree for Ryan.  She was SO PROUD of herself!

Later that night my mom invited us to try out a tradition called Jammie Cocoa Christmas (invented by Erika's friend Shay).  You put on PJ's, go to Starbucks in your PJs, and then go look at Christmas lights.  Here we go...

This random girl actually came up to us in Starbucks and was like "is this a tradition or something?  You have to wear your PJ's in Starbucks?"  HA!

I think before next year I actually need to get some cute PJ's...=)

Gigi's Birthday Party

Ryan's grandma Agatha (we call her Gigi) had her birthday four days before Christmas.  Everyone went to Pam's to celebrate and we even had a special surprise for the kids.  Since they were all there together and all the grown-ups were there we thought it would be fun to have Santa come and surprise them.  The kids were in SHOCK and it was pretty funny watching them each sit on Santa's lap and tell him what they wanted.  He had a gift for each kiddo and it was so sweet!

Brynn was super shy around him...surprise surprise.  =)

And oh Emory...as soon as Santa came in the door she started yelling "I NOT WANT TO SIT ON SANTA'S LAP!"  She would wave at him and yell at him what she wanted when it was someone else's turn, but she wouldn't go up to him if her life depended on it!  She was clinging to me for dear life.  =)

Santa even had a few surprises for Aunt Soni, Aunt Kim, and Pam..and GIGI!  They were hilarious...Aunt Soni and Aunt Kim even admitted to Santa they had been pretty naughty this year!  HA!

Gigi and her great-grandchildren!  (Emory still wouldn't go near Santa so I'm literally right next to her out of the camera frame pushing her in the picture!)  HA!

Brynn always takes awhile to warm up to people and Aunt Kim is always trying to warm her up. =)

But of course Emory is READY to party.  =)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIGI!  We love you!

Emory Shenanigans

Oh Emory...you CONSTANTLY keep us on our toes...but you are SO SWEET and adorable at the same time.  Life just wouldn't be the same without you!

We had fun face-timing Aunt Lindsey and Uncle Curt a few days before Christmas...she has gotten pretty good at chewing gum.  She used to swallow every single piece within seconds.  Now she can actually keep chewing it for like 20 minutes and will usually just spit it out.  She was showing them her gum...

Never a dull moment with her...

And then the other day when we were in Wal-Mart...I wanted to crawl into a hole!  This sweet 80 year old lady in front of us was trying to discreetly buy some Depends.  She put them on the conveyor belt in front of us and then Emory yells at the top of her lungs "HEY LADY...YOU BUYING DIAPERS?  YOU GOT A BABY AT YOUR HOUSE?"

OH MY WORD.

This kid.  Love her to pieces!

SEMO Basketball Clinic

These three had a blast cheering on the Lady Redhawks...

After the game both the men's and women's team led an hour-long free clinic.  The kids got divided up into little age groups and the players helped with some basic skills.  Brynn and Bella were hilarious...thankfully Ashton and another girl took their group.

Chest passes?  Someone please give these girls a helmet!  HA!

They learned how to play defense, practiced dribbling (oh my!), and even tried to score.  It was hilarious to watch, but Brynn and Bella had a blast and tried their best.  =)

After the clinic with Miss Ashton and Miss Kaley =)

Brandi (Bella's mom) and I were joking that we've got a LONG way to go before our girls ever hope to become Lady Redhawks...HA!  But it was so fun watching them play! =)
