Easter Sunday

What an awesome and beautiful Easter Sunday!  The girls were up and matching and we were ON TIME for church and even had time for a picture!  Church was WONDERFUL and I'm so thankful we are able to go and celebrate what Easter is all about.  Thank you God!

We headed to my grandparents in Oran for Easter lunch...which was amazing as usual!

Emory took a big nap and we all relaxed and visited and then after naps we headed outside to hunt Easter eggs!

Granny put a little moolah in their eggs!

HAPPY EASTER!

Easter at Pamaw's

On the Saturday evening before Easter we headed to Pamaw and Papaw's for Easter with the Hawn side.  Gigi was so sweet with Easter goodies for all the kids and Pamaw definitely spoiled the girls as well!  Then we got to have an AWESOME Easter egg hunt thanks to Aunt Kim!

The kids were INTO it!

Aunt Kim always trying to get some loving from Emory!  HA!

So sweet to see all these cousins and second cousins celebrating together!  =)

Randoms...

Just a couple of random pictures during our Spring Break week...

We have had a blast on our new chairs...I just love them!  Sitting out there watching the girls play in the front yard or watching Ryan watering the plants..love it!

And we have had a BLAST on the new paddle boat...so many awesome family memories!

Easter Baking (Gone Wrong!)

I love to do little baking projects with the girls and this year we decided to make a couple different things to get in the Easter spirit!

First up...resurrection rolls.  You just use crescent rolls with some cinnamon and sugar, and put a big marshmallow inside (to represent Jesus) and after you bake them the marshmallow is gone just like Jesus was risen from the tomb!

Brynn thought that was so cool!

Then we were going to make chocolate dipped strawberries and dye them orange to look like carrots sitting in grass...so we dyed the coconut green for the grass...so far so good.

But when we tried to dye the white chocolate orange with orange food coloring it got all chunky.  I looked it up and evidently the almond bark is make with oil and the food coloring is water soluble and since water and oil don't mix...you cannot use regular food coloring.  I guess you can buy stuff that specifically works for it, but we didn't have any on hand so we opted to dip them in white chocolate and make bunnies instead.  HA!

And then we used the chunky white chocolate to make some type of Easter jelly bean concoction.  =)

We may have totally messed it up, but we had a great time doing it!  =)

Spring Break Week - Magic House

We had a week off from Footprints the week before Easter and on Friday my parents and I took the girls to Saint Louis.  We did a little shopping before heading to the Magic House.

We talked Ryan into getting a PADDLE BOAT!!!  WOOHOO!

We had so much fun at the Magic House!  The girls LOVED all the things to see and do!

Chairs and Coffee Tables...

I have been wanting to get some outdoor chairs for the porch and Ryan and I finally picked some out from Target...when they got here they were in these huge boxes and I had to put them together.  I get a little impatient sometimes...so while Emory napped one day, Brynn and I started putting them together.

I was REALLY proud of myself...but I'll be honest...when Ryan got home I had him get out his electric drill and fix them and tighten them all up because I don't think I trusted my skills enough to sit on them for the next several years without them falling apart...HA!

Getting ready for SPRING!

I have also been wanting a more "rustic" looking coffee table for our family room.  I found this plan online and it was a copy of a Pottery Barn table that was crazy expensive...so my awesome dad started making it for me...here is the beginning...

WOOHOO!  Love house projects!

BRYNN TURNS FIVE!

On Monday March 22 Brynn woke up as a FIVE year old!  WOW!

She was loving playing with all of her new toys!

Yummy birthday breakfast doughnut from Daddy!  So sweet!

Can't believe she's FIVE!

She picked to go to a hibachi grill...so we headed to Shogun's for a birthday dinner!

Emory was loving her food, but Grandma...not so much!  HA!

She was loving her Frozen legos and new bike!

HAPPY FIFTH BIRTHDAY TO ONE OF THE GREATEST JOYS AND BLESSINGS FROM GOD!  We love you so much more than we can ever say!
